    To be considered for the program, students must: have a high school diploma or GED and attend an information session.

    FINANCIAL SUPPORT
    This program is free to participants, thanks to the support of the New Energy New York grant. In addition to tuition support, students who successfully complete the program will receive a completion stipend of $1,000.

  • RIT; NENY Battery Development Seminar

    The 2-day seminar includes scientific lectures on lithium ion battery materials, technology, and hands-on training on the best cell fabrication practices from both academic and industry experts. During the laboratory training, attendees will receive hands-on experience using the RIT Battery Development Center's semi-automated coin/pouch/cylindrical cell production equipment. The corresponding lecture program gives insights into the latest battery materials, electrode processing, and pouch cell technology trends which includes the newest manufacturing equipment. Methods for formation cycles and cell aging will be discussed. Attendees will receive training on charge/discharge schedule design and battery data analysis and interpretation.
